Job Title: Senior Hardware Engineer         

Department: Automotive Engineering     

Job Responsibilities: 

  • 5-10 years of experience in automotive embedded Hardware development .
  • Experience in designing one or more Hardware components/systems in EV such as varieties of motor, Inverter, MCU, VCU, Battery, BMS and Power Converters.
  • Hands-on experience on analog & digital circuit, Power Electronics, Microcontrollers, Microprocessor, Power supply, PMIC & Device drivers design support. 
  • Experience in design and test the high power Motor and its drives for EV Products
  • Experience in HW (Functional, Compliance) testing, debugging & test report preparation. 
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience on EMI/EMC analysis & testing. 
  • Experience in Hardware Design Simulation tools like Pspice, LTspice etc. 
  • Good in design and documentation with Zuken, MathCAD, Altium Designer. 
  • Good know how of automotive hardware lifecycle and its quality process. 
  • Hands on debugging embedded systems using Debuggers (Lauterbach Trace32).
  • Automotive Product Development Process knowledge (ASpice, ISO26262)
  • Experience in Embedded systems HW testing and board bring up experience
  • Strong prior exposure to interfacing with SoC Design, HW Systems, SW, Product and Test Engineering domains is desired
  • Good trouble-shooting skills with analysis and debug ability at SoC & PCB level
  • Good understanding of HW & SW Functional Safety domains is desirable
  • Knowledge of Communication Protocols I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN. 
  • Experience in Automotive domain, module design, functional safety standard – ISO 26262 & FMEA/FMDA is added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Qualification:
    • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical and Electronics Engineering 
  • Working Knowledge (Add ons):
    • Previous Hardware development of BMS, VCU, MCU experience
    • Prepares layout, detailed drawings, and schematics by using computer assisted engineering design software e.g., Altium Designer
    • Confers with manufacturing, Product teams, printed circuit board fab vendors, Senosr and control unit retailers, suppliers to develop designs and resolve Design for Manufacturing, Design for Testing, Design for Assembly issues.
    • End-to-end development of high power devices suitable for EV batteries.
    • End-to-end development of high-power motor suitable for Commercial EV.
